McHenry Country Club enjoys a reputation of being one of the finest golf courses in Northern Illinois, and continues to be the host of several regional men's and women's PGA qualifying events, and is the home of two well known McHenry Country Club "sponsored" invitational events... The Taylor Made / Gary Adams Men’s Invitational and the McHenry Women’s Invitational (MWI).
TaylorMade / Gary Adams Men’s Invitational
In its second year, this one day invitational event honors McHenry’s own Gary Adams and his impact on the modern golf industry through the development of the modern day metal wood. The history of Gary Adams and his contributions are found in the Adam's Legacy.
The TaylorMade / Gary Adams Invitational event is sponsored by TaylorMade Golf, and is a one day 18 hole individual low net championship event.
The field is limited 110 male amateurs with current CDGA handicaps of 25 or lower. Participants will be placed into a flight with players of similar handicaps, with prizes will be awarded to the top 25% in each flight. Players with higher handicaps are welcome to play but will play at the maximum handicap of 25.

McHenry Women’s Invitational (MWI)
Sponsored by the McHenry Ladies Association and now in its 36th year, the McHenry Women’s Invitational (MWI) is a premier ladies event that draws top amateur female golfers from all over the MidWest.
The MWI is a two day 36 hole stroke play event with flights determined by handicap, and is open to a field of 144 amateur female players with a USGA handicap of 29.6 or less.
The 2010 MWI will be held on August 2nd and 3rd, with practice rounds available prior to the event. Registration and additional details for the MWI are found on MWI Registration Form.
