In addition to maintaining the beauty of the course, Bill and his staff work at creating some of the best putting surfaces in the Chicago area. The combination of subtle undulation and tilt with typical green speeds ranging from 10.0 to 12.0 stimps gives a whole new meaning to "the short game".
In recent years McHenry Country Club opened its state of the art Learning Center. This facility includes a large bent grass tee area plus multiple bent grass target greens to provide accurate feedback as your golf balls land on the green. McHenry Country Club’s practice facility is one of the best in Illinois, making instruction or just warming up a great experience for everyone.
A fully equipped “ProShop” is available to meet your equipment, clothing, and instructional needs. The McHenry Country Club PGA Pros plan and coordinate a full-season of men’s, ladies, singles, couples, social golf, and competitive tournaments…, plus a junior golf program that targets youth up to the age of 16.
